As a many year customer of Lifeboat Insurance, I always wondered if their insurance would actually pay claims submitted. This year I discovered they do. When crossing the Atlantic aboard our sloop with my wife and crew last year, I started experiencing vision loss. By the time we reached the San Blas Islands I had lost much of the vision in my left eye. Upon reaching Panama, I contacted Seven Corners, Lifeboat's claims company and they recommended several hospitals including specialist at the new Johns Hopkins-affiliated hospital and that all medical expenses would be covered. The result of the examination and subsequent MRI was a recommendation to return to the US ASAP for surgery to remove a non-malignant tumor. I did, the surgery and following radiation therapy was successful, nearly all of the aproximately $110,000 of medical expenses were covered by Lifeboat, after I paid the deductible. Within five weeks we returned to Panama and set sail for Hawaii and Tahiti. Two days ago I had my first annual MRI and check-up which showed no more tumor growth.

Dear Cecille, I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how pleased I am with Seven Corners Health Insurance. Being an insured with you/them all these years was pleasant dealing with your office and renewing each year. In the back of my mind I wondered what was going to happen if and when I finally had a claim. You hear so many horror stories of people who paid their premiums year after year and when they finally had a claim were denied. Well, let me tell you about my experience. The first inclination how great Seven Corners was when I went into pre op in the Finance Dept at the hospital. The lady asked for my insurance info. She said "Oh Seven Corners - they are very good about paying." To me that was a very good sign. When I sent the info into claims - they promptly sent guarantee of payment to the doctor and hospital. They were very helpful guiding me through the whole process. Here's the best part, every bill they received, they paid within 30 days. They even called asking where certain bills were so they could pay them. All my reimbursement came in quickly which was a God send seeing as I have not been able to work just yet. Cecille, thank you so much for choosing such a great company to work with. I will be happy to speak to anyone who is concerned about health insurance. If I hadn't had it, it would of been devastating - I never would have recovered financially from this. Thanks to Seven Corners, they made what would have been very very stressful time so much easier to deal with. The company and the people who work there are terrific.
